The start
In 1968, in Thessaloniki, Ioannis Topaloglou acquired his first knitting machine and set up his own business producing all time classic quality clothes for women of elegance.
1971
He moves the company’s head office to 16, Fragon Str, at the exact same point where 50 years later his dream for elegant stylish quality clothing is still well and going.
1972-1997
25 years of exports
With an eye towards the foreign markets, he successfully completes 25 years of export activity, while at the same time he supports dozens of Greek companies he cooperates with.
1997
Alexander & Jacob
With his wife Panagiota by his side, they decide to dynamically enter the Greek fashion industry and they change the company’s logo, inspired by the names of their two younger sons, Alexander and Jacob.
From yarn to clothing
What makes Alexander and Jacob special is the uniqueness and quality of every collection.
The company exclusively manufactures the fabric used, the jacquard, and selects colors and printing patterns following strict high quality standards.
2002
Flagship store
The first Alexander and Jacob company store opens in Valaoritou Str., right in the center of Thessaloniki, and later it is transferred to 4, Mackenzie King Str, in the historic Agia Sophia square.
100% Greek company
Supporting the legacy of the family art, Ioannis ansd Panagiota Topaloglou pass the knowledge and the love for high quality fabric, as well as the excellent sewing standards, to the new generation.

Having quality as first priority, Alexander and Jacob uses certified clothing dye without chemicals or allergens protecting the environment and caring for skin health.
2020
“Hope” campaign for women and kids
“From our family, to women and children mostly in need.” Deeply aware of contemporary challenges and hardships, the Topaloglou family created the “Hope” campaign to offer financial support to associations and charity groups.
